New Beauty Trend: Face Freeze

Originally just used to treat warts and verrucas, liquid nitrogen is now being used as an anti-age treatment. The facial is called cryotherapy and uses subzero skin rejuvenation technology.

A controlled beam of liquid nitrogen is used over the face, the principle being to 'freeze' away lines and wrinkles, sounds like a little miracle!

Liquid nitrogen creates an immediate vasoconstriction of the blood vessels which will take down inflammation, puffiness, and also help to stimulate collagen. The science is all there, it's just the idea of beams and nitrogen that sound all a bit sci -fi to me!
