Romantic places to stay in Mallorca...

Every year I meet couples celebrating anniversaries, honeymoons and long weekends without the kiddies here in Mallorca.

There are some gorgeous places to stay where you can really get away from it all and I am always being asked to recommend, so here are my top five places around the Island.... Hotel Valldemossa in Valldemossa, OK so I am a little biased with with this choice as I'm the resident therapist, but it truly is a magical place to stay. There are only 12 rooms, which makes it feel like you are in your own private house with the added bonus of all the hotel services. As the hotel sits on its own little hill the views from the hotel are panoramic and all the way around, meaning everywhere you look there's something special. The other bonus us that in just 15 minutes you are in Palma, so it's the perfect base for exploring the Island! Son Brull in Pollensa, this is an old monastery that has been turned into a hotel, with a cool modern twist. The hotel is small so has an intimate feel, similar to the Valldemossa hotel it never feels very crowded. Being just a five minute drive away from the Pollensa old town means that there are plenty of things to do if you decide to venture further, although it's so relaxing here it's easy to never leave! Can Tourna in Esporles, this is a spectacular agroturismo finca set on a valley of lush green nature. Very much a family run hotel, which gives it a really homely and relaxed feel, the family are truly lovely and nothing is too much for them to ensure you have the most authentic experience possible. Take a walk in their edible garden, there are pretty little flowers that you never even knew existed that you can sample. Costa D'Or in Deia, actually this hotel is on the outskirts of Deia in the tiniest little coastal village of LLucalcari, a 5 minute drive from Deia village. The first time I walked into Costa D'Or I couldn't believe the view. It's the closest hotel to the sea on the North coast, giving you breathtaking views and a feeling of really getting away from it all. Ask for a suite at the front, the balcony feels like you are on a boat, amazing sunsets from here too. Cap Rocat in LLucmajor, an old fort that has been turned into a hotel, it feels like you are in your own little world in the middle of nowhere but really your just 15 mins drive from Palma. At the top of the fortress there are lovely panoramic views all around, the hotel has thier own little beach and they have an amazing restaurant on the waterfront which is super romantic. Three of the rooms have their own built in infinity pool built into the rocks, with views of the sea, just gorgeous!
